Colorado State Open Thread, 12/2/2019. Late Again.

The Colorado State Open Thread is published most Monday evenings, on or around 7:00 PM Mountain time.  We chew the fat, discuss the daily concerns, and occasionally even plot get-togethers.

Thirty-one inches of snow from Monday of last week into Wednesday, with a bit more over the weekend.

Wind gusts up to around 70 mph (Not sure just how strong they were, but they piled up enough snow for me to be stuck in our driveway in snow above the bottom of the car doors)

Fortunately, the snow was light and the winds mild for the parade down Estes Park’s main street.  I was marching as one of Santa’s tin soldiers.  Strange to be calling out “Merry Christmas” to folks since I’m agnostic at most and atheistic when I really think about things.  However, the kids were so excited to see Santa right behind our marchers and there is some magic in that.

The artificial Christmas tree is towering in the two story living room.  My wife’s favorite holiday is Christmas.  Mine is Thanksgiving, because Agnostic or Atheist, I’ve got lots to be thankful for (and I get reminded every time I come to DKos of even more).

Feel free to share whatever’s on your minds.  The floor is yours.
